You can't see one of your vehicles on the map? The position shown on the map does not seem correct?

The functioning of the box depends on the state of the vehicle and its position in real time.

Before contacting us to carry out a material intervention on your box, here are the good questions to be asked in the case of a not communicating vehicle:

Is the vehicle still on the road ?

The box of a stopped vehicle is put in standby after 30 minutes of stop. When the vehicle's ignition is turned on, the Optimum Automotive box will again collect positions and data.

Is the vehicle parked in a parking lot or an underground garage?

The box needs to receive GPS satellites (to define its position) and GSM antennas (to transmit this position and data). As soon as the vehicle leaves a white zone, the data from the box will be available again on your platform.

Is the vehicle at a repair shop? Is the vehicle battery still connected or functional? Are all fuses in good condition?

The box must be electrically powered to work and to send data and positions to your Optimum Automotive platform.

For OBD boxes (the diagnostic socket), you can also perform the following tests: 

1 - Unplug and replug the box 

2 - Use the extension cable and place the box as high as possible in the vehicle interior

3 - Test it in another vehicle

4 - Make a trip with the vehicle

For the PSA telematics boxes, you can trigger a BCALL (call for assistance).

Prerequisite: check if the LED of the button flashes and/or is Orange. If it is the case, you will have to go to a PSA sales outlet for a diagnosis.

CAUTION: Position the vehicle in an area covered by a GSM network so that the autonomous telematics box can make the call (do not leave the vehicle in a closed area (e.g.: building...)

Triggering the bCall

1. Start the vehicle.

2. Leave the vehicle running for 1 minute.

3. Push* the vehicle's mark button until the call is triggered.

4. Wait for the discussion with the operator.

5. Indicate to the operator: ''Hello, this call is made on the request of PSA to ensure the communication with your platform. ''

6. End of the call.

7. To leave then the vehicle started during 1 minute (engine running)

8. Switch off the engine

* Push bCall: Press the make button on the vehicle until the call is triggered (see illustration below)
