Presentation of the unit

The FMB010 is an OBD unit. 

It connects directly to the OBD port of the vehicle for a simplified installation

Before installation: configuring the web platform

The unit that has been provided to you has been previously checked, configured and pre-assigned to one of your vehicles on the management and location platform.

The identification of a unit is done by its IMEI number printed on the label

The registration of the vehicle to which the unit is assigned is mentioned on the delivery note.

1. Connect to the platform and enter the name of the vehicle to be modified: e.g. "Vehicle 1". Select the vehicle.

2. The vehicle record is displayed.

3. Then enter the registration number of the vehicle to which you are going to connect the unit in the corresponding field (as well as the information related to the vehicle which will allow you to manage its follow-up and maintenance). Do not forget to SAVE your entries (button at the bottom right of the screen).

Installation

The installation is "Plug&Play" and is done on the OBD diagnostic socket of the vehicle.

This is usually located behind the fuse panel in the passenger compartment, often under the steering wheel (consult the vehicle manual).

You just have to plug the unit into the socket. The geolocation is operational after the emission of 4 beeps.

If the box prevents the fuse cover from closing, or if you want to hide the unit , or if the box is installed too low in the passenger compartment with the GPS antenna facing the ground, use the extension cable.

Connecting to the OBD socket does not affect vehicle operation. The unit does not access the vehicle's data network.

During maintenance, your dealer may need to disconnect the unit to use the OBD connector. Be sure to reconnect your unit before driving.

If the unit is disconnected, an alert is immediately sent to the Optimum Automotive tracking platform.
